The highway, costing rm$1.4 billion, is one of the biggest infrastructure projects under the Ninth Malaysian Plan in Johor.It provides an important transportation link to further boost the logistics and tourism sectors in the southern region. With the highway, travel time is about an hour between Desaru, in the south-east, and the Second Link or Tanjung Pelepas, in the south-west. This is a stark contrast compared with the 2.5hours of travelling along the trunk road.

破车的后头了，也不需再经过jb危险的市区了。马来西亚路况有点糟，无牌或经验少的驾驶也多，f1和motoGP赛车手更多，还不时的被逼给kopi钱(lu tolong wa，wa tolong lu la)，可谓人比路更危险。不过，还是觉得此段路还挺美的，尤其是大桥前后那段，驾着，驾着，就有种出国的感觉。舒畅啊!!
